Mariah's Boon

Presenting Mariah's Boon, a 2006 American Drum Horse Stallion.

Boon is an excellent example of the Drum Horse with his elegance and athleticism. He has an abundance of silky feather, good quality bone and a kind expression with an intelligent and calm temperament to boot! His movement is filled with impulsion, balance, and extension. He truly is a fine example of the American Drum Horse.

He is 17.1 and weighs around 1500 lbs. He is considered tri-colored also know as bay and white tobiano. He is Ee Aa Tt, meaning he can throw bays, blacks, chestnuts, solids, and colored foals. He passes his beauty, movement, size, bone, feather, color and most important, temperament onto his foals.

Boon's first foal was born in 2010, Moonlit Dream, a bay and white filly out of our Shire Annie. She is the spitting image of her sire in color pattern and temperament. He will be expecting more foals in 2012.

Boon is trained to ride and drive and is Laura's primary mount. Together they have won Grand Champion stallion at the FL State Draft Horse Show(two years in a row!), Grand Champion, High Point Champion, and Performance Champion at the Feathered Horse Classic 2011, year end high point stallion halter winner at Silver Sands Bridle Club, multiple blue ribbons in driving and numerous second place, not to mention ribbons in riding included dressage.

Thanks to Boon's good and safe behavior in public, Laura and Boon put over 100 miles on trails winning them the FL Trail Trotter badge. They also do various equine events demonstrating the American Drum Horse and carriage driving. You will see them annually at Equifest, VFW Horse Festival, Abbeyville Horse Festival, and the Fl Carriage Museum Carriage Festival. Please see the events page and check out where they will be next.

Stud fees are 800.00 for feathered breeds, 350.00 for all others and available March thru July. We give discounts to multiple mares, recurring buyers, ADHA members, early bookings, and award winning mares.
