Welcome to Moonlit Acre!
Mares
Annie in the Moonlight

1999 Shire Mare

Annie was my first horse and will always be my favorite. She taught me everything I know. She has near perfect conformation and such a beautiful head with kind and gentle eyes. Annie is trained to ride and drive and we have won many ribbons together. Annie is now retired from showing, at least for now, and is going to be a brood mare for a few years. Her first foal is due May 2010.

Moon Struck Katie

2001 Black Shire

When I saw Katie I just had to have her. Her previous owner, Desert Jewel Gypsy, sent me a picture of her eyes, I was hooked. She is broke to ride and soon to drive. My plans is to have a matching Shire driving team; She will be paired with Annie in 2010. She is also due in November for a St. Clarins foal! 50% silver dapple! Keep watching for pictures of the birth.

Katie did indeed foal us a wonderful stunning Silver Dapple Drum colt. What a looker he is!!

Sadly, Katie passed away Feb 1, 2010. We lost a great mare that day that can never be replaced. The little time we had together was wonderful and she will be greatly, deeply missed.

This lovely girl is going to be the star of our up coming breeding program. With her unique coloring and breeding to the right stallion, we can produce Palomino Drums as well as Buckskins and Chestnuts. Watch out for a Tobiano Palomino Drum from this girl!!
