I first fell in love with Shires at a very young age but it wasn't until after college that I purchased my first horse; Annie, a bay Shire mare who is a life long resident. Then one day while browsing the internet, I stumbled upon Mariah's Boon, an American Drum Horse. I wasn't sure what a Drum horse was, but after investigating, I knew this was the breed for me. Size and temperament of the Shire and Clydesdale, color and feather of the Gypsy, but athletic and versatile. After training and raising Boon, it was clear he was to remain a stallion as he exemplifies the qualities of a Drum horse. We had our first foal in 2009 and our first home bred foal in 2010.
We believe the American Drum Horse should be over 16 hands with an athletic build, heavy feather, quality conformation and bone, and most important, a gentle willing soul. Our farm is home to the famous Mariah's Boon and the silver dapple, Platinum Moon. We offer stud services, mare care, training, boarding, promotion of the Drum Horse, and occasionally foals for sale.
Have a look around and enjoy our passion! And as always, contact for more information or just to chat horse,
